After spending two weeks in the sleepy spa town of Hot Springs, Arkansas (also my hometown), Stefany and I decided to get our cross country road trip started a few days early. While we had plans to travel down to Dallas, Texas, for the Southwest Classic, an old rivalry rebirthed between two old Southwest Conference rivals Arkansas and Texas A&M, we instead decided to wake up early and head east to Greenville, South Carolina, to drop in on some very good friends for a surprise visit. It's true that I just moved from Greenville a little over a month ago and that our travels will bring us back to this area in a few weeks; however, it's always refreshing to enjoy time and share the MonaVie story with great friends.
After stopping in Knoxville, Tennessee, for a late lunch with Jana Redmond, a good friend from grad school, the Road Warriors and Billie made the three hour drive to Greenville through the mountains of Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Although I have personally made this drive numerous times, I am always overcome with excitement and awe once I-40 veers to the right away from I-81 and is swallowed up by the soaring Great Smoky Mountains. Honestly, it's breathtaking! Almost dusk, we wound through the shadowed mountain passes for almost an hour before reaching Asheville, North Carolina, where we made the turn onto I-26 to head down to Greenville.
An hour from our destination, we finally decided to reveal to our friends the news of our impending arrival. A secret no more, we drove straight to a popular sport bar destination in Greenville to meet up with everyone. Of course, we still caught both the Arkansas and Miami games on TV, only we got to enjoy them with lots of friends and laughter. Over the last few days, we have caught up with old professors from Clemson, spent quality time with numerous good friends, and shared the MonaVie story with whomever would listen!On a side note...it seems that Billie's makeover has transformed her into quite the looker. Everywhere we go, Billie catches the eyes of most passers by; first drawn by her looks (way to go Stefany!) and then the Emv message that robes her. Don't be fooled...her new look isn't just skin deep; her new found beauty has already initiated a few unsolicited and potentially fruitful conversations.
