Through the eyes of Road Warrior Stefany
During my time in Brazil and Hawaii, I made some wonderful friends - a great deal of those happen to work in MonaVie corporate and live in the Salt Lake area. With that in mind, we altered our plans to make the stop in Utah to see the headquarters of the company and visit my new friends.

Like in all the cities we have visited thus far, we hit the ground running when arrived in Salt Lake. Our first task of the day was to drive through Big Cottonwood Canyon. As one of the ski capitals of the world, we wanted to these majestic, snow-capped mountains for ourselves. Simply breathtaking!

From there we appeased my inner music-geek and headed to Temple Square for a free organ recital in the Tabernacle, home to the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir. This space and instrument are AMAZING!! The acoustics in the building allow for a pin to drop in the front and for an audience member in the back to hear it without a microphone. The 12,000 pipes of the organ paired with the acoustics made for a great recital. The organist even played my favorite organ pieces.

After the wonderful concert, we headed to the headquarters of MonaVie for a tour and meeting with Co-Founder and Vice-Chairman Henry Marsh. It’s amazing to be a part of a company whose executives will take time out of their busy schedule to meet with its distributors. We also stopped at The MORE Project offices to see the people that help change the lives of those kids in Brazil.

With a few hours to kill between our MonaVie adventure and dinner with our wonderful host Valerie Holt of The MORE Project, we decided to go in search of the Olympic sites of Salt Lake City. There are 3 sites around town: the Cauldron, Olympic Park and the Oval. The Cauldron happens to be in downtown and in the football stadium for the University of Utah. Attached to the stadium was a museum of photographs from the games. It was fun to relive those moments through the photos. Departing the stadium, we ended our day with a yummy dinner at the Porcupine Pub and Grille and a riveting game of Bananagrams.

The next day was dedicated to the Olympic Games as we headed to Park City (also home to the Sundance Festival) to explore the Olympic Village. Here we watched 12 yr olds barrel at 80 miles/hour down the luge track, stood at the peak of the ski long jump hill and sat in an authentic bobsled. All in all, an unbelievable experience.

Topping the day was dinner with Katy Holt-Larsen. She is also from The MORE Project and one of the sweetest people in the world. When spent dinner brainstorming and strategizing next steps for the non-profit. It was great to learn about their goals and for us to help them figure out how to get there. Way to put our degrees to use. ☺
Unfortunately, our dinner was not as long as we would’ve hoped. With children waiting at home for Katy and a long day of driving ahead of us, we said our goodbyes. Hopefully, we will be included in future brainstorming sessions. Next stop: Portland!
