MonaVie Road Warriors: Home for Thanksgiving

Through the eyes of Road Warrior Chris

Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday. It’s the one day of the year when you can eat as much as you want and you don’t have to feel bad about it. And just when you think you couldn’t possibly eat anymore, it’s time for leftovers! Radio stations begin playing Christmas music and the holiday spirit seems to put people in a more cheerful mood. I have missed Thanksgiving with my family a few times over the past few years, and I have found it takes me longer to find the holiday spirit when I do.

After almost two months of crisscrossing the US while spreading the message of the benefits in MonaVie, Stef and I left our friends in LA for the two-day journey to Arkansas to be home in time for turkey and dressing. The trip from LA to Arkansas is pretty easy. Bookended by a few other roads, it’s roughly 1,600 miles east along I-40. Traversing the Sierra Nevadas, dessert landscapes of the southwestern US, and the rolling plains of the Texas panhandle and Oklahoma; I-40 from Barstow, CA to Fort Smith, AR reveals some of the most beautiful scenery this country can declare.

Finally arriving at my parent’s house in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Wednesday night, we awoke the next morning to the aroma of Thanksgiving dinner delights being prepared in the kitchen. Turkey, dressing, sweet and mashed potatoes, cranberries, corn, and finally pumpkin pie. Mmm. Mmm. Good! Stef brought a little bit of South Florida to our Thanksgiving with some delicious key lime pie as well. We even broke out a bottle of the “fruit juice” we picked up in Napa for dinner. Needless to say, we have eaten like royalty for days.

And now that the feast has ended, let the Christmas season begin!

By the way…looking for a thoughtful gift for friends and family on Christmas? Give a bottle or two of MonaVie! It’s the perfect (and healthy) way to start the New Year!!!
