Thru the eyes Road Warrior Stefany
Oh so much has happened in the days since my last post! First off, the Emv Car Contest officially ended. Billie (our reliable car and travel companion) won 3rd Place! The prize is $1,000, which I plan to use to pay off the improvements made to the car (wrap, rims, etc). THANK YOU to everyone who supported and voted for us! We would have never gotten even close to placing if it wasn’t for you and your tenacity.
After the contest, Mom, Tio Pachiche and Alex headed off to the Regional MonaVie Meeting in Mexico. They had such a wonderful time and came back so energized. That energy followed that them into the Dream Days Meeting in Orlando the following week. The entire team gathered to discuss strategy, but most importantly they set their goals. We are all BIG believers in the power of visualization, so with that in mind, the team headed to the mall. The exercise was to spend NO LESS than $10,000 in your mind. Pick out your items….touch, feel, smell, embrace. That way you can will them into your life.
List in hand, the team then went to the Mercedes dealership to see the cars you receive as a Black Diamond. Who doesn’t want to spend time with the cars of your dreams. Time to add the cute convertible one to the list ☺ After that, the whole team had an appointment with a real estate agent to see some beautiful houses that line a lake in downtown. Again, visualize where you want to live. The day ended with creating dream boards to remind us of the emotions of the day and to focus on those things that are important. Overall, a HUGE success!
On the half-marathon training front, the biggest development is that my brother’s girlfriend, Brenna, has decided to walk the Princess Half Marathon with me. Not only does this mean I have company during the race, but someone to work out with! It’s always sooo much easier to get out there when you are accountable to somebody else.
Our training combines various workouts. Those elements are distance walking, Crossfit, Pilates and Zumba. Our longest walk thus far has been 6 miles. We will up that to 10 miles next week. Crossfit is a strength and conditioning program that aims for overall fitness. It’s pretty awesome. Pilates of Palm Beach is a business owned by my friend Erin. She is an amazing pilates instructor and I would suggest this exercise to anyone that wants to increase their flexibility and core strength in a non-threatening environment. Zumba is a pure cardio, latin dance class. Who wouldn’t love dancing salsa, merengue, samba and reggaeton for an hour?!? Sometimes we do one or a combination of these workouts. This can make for a very tired Stefany. It’ll be worth it when I cross that finish line with a better time than last year!
