As the others began to stir they were understandably annoyed with my energy and alertness. I had already been awake for 3 hours! Mom and Emily agreed to take the yoga class with me and off we went. Neither Mom nor Em has ever taken a yoga class, so this morning was filled with laughter and groans as we went through a spectrum of poses. In the end we were all energized and ready for some breakfast.
The MonaVie Diamond Destination Breakfast was the first event of the week where all the distributors came together to talk and catch up. It was especially nice to see all group who went with us to Brazil. We will forever be intertwined from our shared experience at The MORE Project. Those kids are imprinted on our hearts.
After breakfast, I headed to a wondrous spa appointment. Here is how it works…first you go to your appointment. Then you get to hang out in the spa area where there are whirlpools, saunas, 6 different body soaks and a waterfall shower. I headed out of there without a care in the world.
Dad, of course, can’t sit still for more than 10 min. So the minute I arrived to the room from the spa, he decided that we were going to explore the island. The 5 of us (plus Alex and Lori) piled into our rental car and we were off.
Driving around, we all noticed how much Maui looks like Puerto Rico with everything from mountains to beaches. However, Puerto Rico doesn’t have black sand beaches covered in lava rocks. It was only a beach of about 300 yards with no entrance from the road. We had to hop a barricade to get there. It was worth it! Faustino even collected some in a bottle as a keepsake.
The sun was setting as we pulled into the resort. Just in time for me to pass out. It felt like 1 am when it was only 7 pm.
